Frequently asked questions
What do my guests actually receive?
A text from Addressed that names you and the event, with a short link to their own page. They can reply to the text in their own words or answer on the page. There is no app to install and no account to create.
Will Addressed text my guests at night?
No. Invitations and reminders due between 9 PM and 8 AM in the guest's local time are held until 8 AM, and the guest list shows them as Scheduled with the time. Replies to a guest who texts in at night are answered right away.
What happens when a guest replies STOP?
They are opted out immediately and left out of every text, reminder and broadcast. The guest list shows "Not invited · replied STOP". They can reply START to opt back in, and HELP returns our support address.
How do message credits work, and what do texts abroad cost?
Email is free. A text to a US or Canadian number is one credit. Texts to other countries count as more credits, by country, because carriers charge more; the preview before a bulk send shows the exact total. WhatsApp messages count by their own weights, listed on the Pricing page.
What is the difference between AI text-back and the AI concierge?
Text-back reads a guest's reply and records it: RSVP, plus-one, meals, dietary notes, address. Every plan has it (75 replies per event on Free, 300 on Essentials). The concierge, on Destination and up, also answers guests' questions from your event details, and hands you anything it should not answer alone.
A guest never got their invitation. Can I send it again?
Yes. Use Resend invitation on their row in the guest list, once per guest per hour, or Resend to undelivered from the Message menu to catch everyone whose text did not arrive. Guests who replied STOP are skipped.
Can guests abroad get WhatsApp instead of SMS?
On paid plans, yes. Turn on WhatsApp for the event and guests who have it get the invitation, reminders and updates there; guests without it get SMS automatically. Replies work the same way on both.
Can I get my guest list out of Addressed?
Yes. Export the guest list as a spreadsheet from the Guests page (meals, plus-ones and addresses included), export an event's conversations from Messages, and request a full copy of your account data under Profile → Data & privacy.
How do I delete an event?
Events → the ⋯ menu on the event → Delete, then Delete Permanently. It removes the guests, RSVPs and messages of that event and cannot be undone. Archive keeps it out of the way without deleting anything.
How fast will you reply if I write in?
Every paid plan has priority support: we reply within one business day, usually much sooner. On the Free plan we reply within two business days. Business plans also get a named contact and a personal onboarding call. Replies come from [email protected].
