An event is the home for one guest list, its texts and its RSVPs. The wizard asks only for what it needs to send the first text.
Step by step
- From Events, choose New Event. The wizard opens with Stamp beside it, one line of advice per step.
- Event basics: a short name for your own lists and the title guests will see, with a one-line description.
- Event details: the date, the location and roughly how many guests you expect. Dates can change later without re-sending anything.
- Communication: pick how guests hear from you. Text is on by default; WhatsApp is offered on paid plans and falls back to SMS for guests who do not have it.
- Milestones: the RSVP deadline and the reminders that lead up to it. Leave the suggestions if you are unsure; they move with the date.
- Confirmation shows what you entered. Create the event, then add your first guest from the dashboard.
- Settings you skipped live under Edit Event: Details, RSVP & reminders, Page design, Story, travel & registry, Plus-ones & meals, Custom questions, FAQs, Plan & add-ons.
Good to know
- Texts to guests are sent from Addressed and name you as the host, so verify your own mobile number first (Profile). Sending is held until you do.
- One event is free, with up to 75 guests and 300 message credits. The next event, or a bigger one, is a one-time plan purchase.
- Cancel in the wizard discards what you typed; nothing is created until the last step.
