Every guest gets one invitation text. You see exactly what it says before it goes, and the list tells you what happened to it afterwards.
Step by step
- Open Guests and choose Add Guest. A name and a mobile number are enough; email and address are optional.
- The SMS preview shows the text as the guest will read it, starting "Addressed:" with your name and the event. Choose Send SMS & Add Guest, or Add Guest Without Texting to hold it.
- If it is night where the guest is, the button reads Schedule SMS & Add Guest and the preview says "Scheduled for 8:00 AM (guest's local time) — we don't text guests overnight".
- For a list, choose Import. Moving from Zola, The Knot or Joy has its own path; Another spreadsheet takes any CSV with names and numbers.
- Under each phone number the list shows the invitation's status: Not invited yet, Sent, Delivered with the date, Resent, or Not delivered.
- Each row has Send invitation for a guest never texted, and Resend invitation afterwards. A resend is allowed once per guest per hour.
- To catch everyone at once, open the Message menu and choose Resend to undelivered.
Good to know
- A guest who replied STOP is shown as "Not invited · replied STOP" and cannot be texted again until they reply START.
- If your own mobile number is not verified yet, the preview says so and offers Verify mobile number; the guest is added, the text waits.
- A guest's number only has to be unique within one event, so the same person can be on two of your events.
