Caterers want one clean count. Plus-ones and meals are answered in the same reply as the RSVP, so the count is right from the first week.
Step by step
- Edit Event → Plus-ones & meals. Turn on Allow plus-ones if guests may bring someone.
- Under Meal options, add each dish as the guest will see it ("Short rib", "Sea bass", "Garden risotto"). Renaming a dish later keeps everyone's choice.
- Save. From then on the invitation and the guest page ask for the plus-one's name and a meal for each person.
- A guest can answer by text: "bringing Mark, fish for me, chicken for him, he's allergic to nuts" saves the plus-one, both meals and the dietary note.
- The guest list shows party size, the plus-one's name and each meal; dietary notes sit on the guest's record.
- Export the list when the caterer asks; the meal columns are included.
Good to know
- Only a guest who is coming can have a plus-one or a meal; a "no" clears them.
- If a guest names a dish that is not on the menu, Addressed asks them to pick from the ones you offer.
